1. About Huntaz
Huntaz (huntaz.app) is a multiplayer treasure-hunting game. You explore real places through Google Street View, search for hidden chests, collect Huntaz Points and compete with other players, solo or as a team.
Huntaz is operated by HEMATIM GLOBAL LTD (“Huntaz”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16956296, whose registered office is at 14 Museum Place, Cardiff, CF10 3BH, United Kingdom.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you use the Huntaz website and game. By creating an account or playing, you accept these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You need an account to play. You register with a display name, an email address and a password, and you may be asked to confirm your email address.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
- Give accurate account details, and choose a display name that does not impersonate anyone or offend other players. Your display name is shown to other players.
- One person should not use several accounts to gain an advantage, such as extra free hunts or a better position in a ranking.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Huntaz.
- If you are 13 to 17, you need the consent of a parent or legal guardian to create an account and play. By registering, you confirm that you have it. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child’s use of Huntaz.
- If you are 18 or over, you can use Huntaz on your own behalf.
- Eligible players aged 13 to 17 can take part in hunts and earn Huntaz Coins like any other player.
- During a closed beta, registration may require an invitation code.
3. Gameplay
- Huntaz is free to play. Entering a hunt never costs money or Huntaz Coins.
- A hunt takes you through a series of real-world locations. At each location you have a limited time to look around in Street View, find chests and collect Huntaz Points. Different chests carry different points, and some carry risks. Teams that do not reach the points needed to survive a location can be eliminated.
- The current rules are shown in the game and on the How to Play page. The game’s servers decide scores, results and rewards. What your device shows does not decide them.
- Free members have a limited number of free hunts. Their number and the hunt types they apply to are shown in the game and on the Huntaz Pro page. Huntaz Pro members get unlimited hunts of those types.
- Street View imagery shows real public places. Huntaz does not control what the imagery shows, and locations are chosen for gameplay, not as recommendations to visit.
4. Hunt types
Quick Hunt
A short solo hunt you can start at any time. Completing a Quick Hunt may earn a small Huntaz Coin reward, as shown in the game.
Daily Hunt
One shared challenge each day: every player plays the same locations and is ranked on that day’s leaderboard. Members get one ranked attempt per day. Huntaz Pro members can also replay for practice, and practice replays are not ranked.
Scheduled Hunt
Multiplayer hunts that Huntaz creates and runs at set times, each with a Huntaz Coin prize funded by Huntaz. Teams register before the start. Huntaz may cancel a Scheduled Hunt, for example when too few teams have registered or the hunt could not start on time. If it does, entries and the prize are given back.
Sponsored Hunt
A multiplayer hunt created by a Huntaz Pro member or by Huntaz, who puts up a Huntaz Coin prize from their own balance for the winners. Players never pay to enter. See section 7 for how prizes work.
The hunt types available can change. Some may be paused or unavailable at times.
5. Teams and multiplayer
- In multiplayer hunts you can play solo or in a team of up to four players. Team size and other limits for a hunt are shown before you register.
- Teams lock when a hunt starts. After that, players cannot join or switch teams for that hunt.
- Your team may have a private team chat and, where available, team voice. Be respectful. The rules in section 9 apply to everything you say and write.
- Your display name, team and results can be shown to other players in rosters, live standings and leaderboards.
- If a hunt has a team prize, it is shared as described in section 7.
6. Huntaz Coins and Huntaz Points
Huntaz Coins (HC)
- Huntaz Coins are an in-game currency. You can win them in hunts and spend them in the Huntaz Shop or on the prize for a hunt you create.
- Huntaz Coins are not money and have no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold, cashed out, exchanged for money or sent to other players.
- Huntaz does not support real-money withdrawals. Huntaz Coins, and prizes paid in Huntaz Coins, can never be withdrawn as cash.
- Every change to your balance is recorded. We may correct a balance that is wrong because of an error, a bug or a breach of these Terms.
- Items bought in the Huntaz Shop are cosmetic and do not give an advantage in hunts.
Huntaz Points
- Huntaz Points are the score you collect from chests during a hunt. They decide survival, rankings and winners for that hunt.
- Huntaz Points have no value outside the hunt they were earned in, and they are not a currency.
7. Sponsored Hunts and prizes
- Creating a hunt requires Huntaz Pro. To publish a Sponsored Hunt, the creator puts up a Huntaz Coin prize from their own balance, at least the minimum shown when creating the hunt. The prize is reserved when the hunt is published.
- Prizes are Huntaz Coins, never money, and cannot be withdrawn as cash. Each hunt shows its prize before you register.
- The prize goes to the winning team. It is divided equally between the team’s eligible members, following the rules shown for the hunt. The game’s servers decide the winner from the recorded results.
- If a hunt is cancelled, ends without a winner or cannot be played, the reserved prize is returned according to the game’s rules.
- Hunt creators must give hunts appropriate titles and descriptions. Players can report a hunt, and Huntaz may remove or cancel hunts that break these Terms.
- We may withhold or reverse a prize won through cheating, a bug or a breach of these Terms.
8. Huntaz Pro subscriptions
- Huntaz Pro is an optional paid subscription. It unlocks the benefits described on the Huntaz Pro page when you subscribe, including unlimited hunts and creating your own hunts.
- Plans and prices are shown on the Huntaz Pro page before you pay. Prices are in US dollars (USD). Your bank may show the charge in your own currency and may add conversion fees.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. Huntaz never sees or stores your card details.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the price shown until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Manage Subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your Pro benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, unless your access to your account is lawfully restricted under these Terms.
- If a payment fails, you may need to update your payment method to keep Pro.
- Refunds: we do not give automatic or prorated refunds for unused parts of a subscription period, unless the law requires it.
- Your statutory rights: nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights, including any right to cancel and receive a refund that the law gives you.
- Price changes: we may change the price of Huntaz Pro. A new price applies to new subscriptions. Before an increased price applies to the renewal of an existing subscription, we will tell you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
- When Pro ends, you keep your account, your Huntaz Coins and any free hunts you had not used. Free hunts that were already used are not restored.
9. Fair play and prohibited activities
Huntaz is a competition, so we expect every player to play fairly. Cheating, fraud, exploiting the game and manipulating gameplay or results are not allowed. In particular, you must not:
- use bots, scripts, automation, modified clients or other tools to play, find chests or gain an advantage;
- exploit bugs or errors, or interfere with the game’s servers, security or other players’ connections;
- share or receive locations, chest positions or answers in a way that gives an unfair advantage to you or another team;
- coordinate between teams, deliberately lose, or use several accounts to influence results, rankings or prizes;
- harass, threaten, abuse or impersonate anyone, or post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content, in names, hunt descriptions, team chat, voice or private messages;
- send spam or advertising to other players;
- copy, scrape or extract content from Huntaz or from Google Maps, including Street View imagery and location data;
- try to access accounts, data or areas of the service that are not yours.
The game records gameplay actions, such as chest searches, so that suspicious patterns can be reviewed. You can report hunts and messages, and block players.
10. Suspension and termination
- If you break these Terms, we may take action that is proportionate to what happened: removing content, cancelling results or prizes, removing you from a hunt, or suspending or permanently closing your account. Serious or repeated breaches, such as cheating, fraud or abuse of other players, can lead to permanent closure.
- Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you what we did and why. If you think we made a mistake, contact support@huntaz.app and we will review it.
- If we suspend or permanently close an account for breaking these Terms, we will cancel its active Huntaz Pro subscription so that no further renewal charges are taken.
- You can stop using Huntaz at any time. You can ask to delete your account from your profile. Some accounts cannot be deleted straight away, for example when their game history, prizes or billing records must be kept. The Privacy Policy explains this.
- Deleting your own account does not cancel a Huntaz Pro subscription by itself. Cancel it from Manage Subscription first.
- If your account is closed, any unused Huntaz Coins and cosmetic items end with it, because they have no cash value.
- Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under consumer law.
11. Third-party services, including Google Maps
Huntaz relies on services provided by other companies, and they have their own terms:
- Google Maps. Huntaz includes Google Maps features and content, including Street View. Use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Stripe processes Huntaz Pro payments.
- LiveKit carries team voice, where it is available.
Google does not sponsor, endorse or operate Huntaz. Street View imagery is provided by Google and its contributors, and Huntaz shows it through Google’s own viewer with Google’s attribution. If you do not follow the Google Maps terms, we may restrict your use of the Google Maps features in Huntaz. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.
12. Service availability and changes
- Huntaz is under active development. Features, hunt types, rules, rewards and prices may change, and some features may be in beta.
- We try to keep Huntaz available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Hunts can be delayed, cancelled or ended early because of outages, maintenance, problems with third-party services or Street View availability. When Huntaz cancels a hunt, entries and prizes are handled as the game describes for that hunt type.
Changes to these Terms
- We may update these Terms. We publish each updated version on this page, with the date it takes effect.
- If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and with an in-app notification where appropriate.
13. Intellectual property
- The Huntaz name, logo, game design, artwork, software and text belong to Huntaz or its licensors. You may use them only to play Huntaz.
- Google Maps and Street View content belongs to Google and its licensors and is covered by Google’s terms.
- You keep ownership of what you write, such as hunt titles, descriptions and messages. You allow Huntaz to store and show it within Huntaz, as needed to run the game.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Huntaz is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about the service beyond those in these Terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losing Huntaz Coins, Huntaz Points, rankings or virtual items, which have no cash value.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes about them. If you live elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, or your right to bring proceedings in the courts that law allows.
16. Contact and support
