What you need
- A free Huntaz account. Create one in a minute; joining a vacation needs you to be signed in.
- A web browser. Huntaz runs in desktop and mobile browsers. There is nothing to download and no headset to buy.
- Headphones and a microphone (optional). Party voice is much better with headphones. You can also use text chat only.
- Some time. Vacations last 30 minutes, an hour or two hours, so choose one that fits.
Step 1: Choose a departure
Open the vacations page from Go on Vacation on your dashboard or the Vacation button on the homepage. Explore Vacations shows the upcoming flights: each card shows the destination, the departure countdown, the duration, the reward and how many travellers have joined. Departures are scheduled throughout the day, and destinations rotate over time.
Choose one and press Join Vacation to enter its Departure Lounge. The lounge opens ahead of departure, so you can arrive early, meet people and get ready.
Step 2: Join or form a Travel Party
Everyone travels in a Travel Party of up to 10 travellers. In the Departure Lounge you can join a party that has space or press Form a Travel Party to start your own.
Public or private
When you form a party, choose Who can join. A public party welcomes anyone while there is space. A private party only accepts travellers with its 4-digit Party PIN, which the Party Leader can see and change with New PIN.
Inviting friends
Press Invite Travellers to share a link to your party. Invitations never skip a private party’s PIN, so send the PIN to your friends as well. Late arrivals are welcome: new parties can be formed until departure, and parties with space keep welcoming travellers until the vacation ends.
The Party Leader
The traveller who forms the party is its Party Leader and can hand the role to someone else with Make Party Leader. The leader guides the group on the trip and can remove and block a traveller who spoils it.
Step 3: Get ready in the Departure Lounge
Party voice and chat already work in the lounge, so this is a good moment to say hello and check that everyone can hear each other. Your microphone is never switched on for you: turn it on when you are ready, and mute it whenever you like.
Huntaz sends reminders to travellers who joined as the departure gets close, and the lounge announces the final minutes before departure. When it is time, press Board now.
Step 4: Arrive and explore together
After boarding you see “Arriving in” and the city’s name: your adventure is about to begin. Moments later you are standing in a real street in the destination, with your Travel Party.
Follow Leader or Explore Freely
With Follow Leader, your view follows the Party Leader, so the whole group sees the same place. Choose Explore Freely to wander on your own; your Travel Party, chat and voice stay with you. Rejoin Leader brings you straight back.
Places to Go and the travel guide
Places to Go holds the travel guide’s itinerary: landmarks and streets in the destination. The Party Leader can take the group to any of them, and members can suggest stops. You can also ask the guide a few short questions about the destination; the number depends on the vacation’s length. Answers are private unless you share them with your party.
Shared 3D places
Step 5: Try Things to Do
Things to Do lists shared 3D places named after your destination, such as a Virtual Beach, a Luxury Restaurant, a Virtual Ski Resort, a Desert Safari, a Yacht Charter, an Aqua Park, a Painting Studio, a Luxury Spa or a Surf Beach. The Party Leader takes the whole party in and back to the streets; any traveller can step out on their own.
Inside, your avatar can walk, sit, wave and dance with your party, and party voice works as usual. Some activities are free, such as walking around and dancing, and some cost Huntaz Coins, such as rides, meals and treatments. Which places appear depends on the destination: the restaurant, nightclub, aqua park and painting studio are available everywhere, while beach, ski, desert and ocean places appear only where they suit the destination’s country.
The Virtual Nightclub is for travellers aged 18 and over only: each traveller confirms their own date of birth, which is never shown to anyone, and the Party Leader confirms for the group.

How Huntaz Coin rewards work on a vacation
Each vacation has a small Huntaz Coin reward, shown on its card. When a vacation completes, the reward is shared equally among the travellers who took part for at least half of the vacation’s length, with at least one coin each. Your trip screen shows your active time, so you can see when you have taken part long enough.
There are three situations where a vacation pays no coins: if Huntaz cancels it, if you switch to another Travel Party after departure, or if a Party Leader removes you, unless Huntaz overturns the removal. Moving between parties before departure does not affect your reward.
Huntaz Coins are in-game currency. You can spend them on activities in the shared 3D places and in the Huntaz Shop, and players aged 18 and over can buy them. They cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash.
Step 6: Say goodbye and keep your memories
When a vacation completes, your party’s voice stays open for a short farewell, so you can talk about the trip before heading home. Then choose where to go next.
Every completed vacation leaves a private memory in My Memories: the destination, the date, the duration, the places you reached, the virtual experiences you did and any Huntaz Coins you earned. Only you can see it, unless you create a share link, which shows a simple card and never your Travel Party, chat or route. You can stop sharing or delete a memory at any time.
Being a good Party Leader
If you form the party, you are its Party Leader. It is an easy role, and a good leader makes the trip for everyone.
- Welcome people. Say hello in the lounge as travellers join, especially anyone new.
- Set a gentle pace. Pause at each stop so people following you have time to look around.
- Share the choices. Accept good suggestions from your party; you will see them as they come in.
- Use Places to Go. The travel guide’s itinerary gives you ready-made stops when you are not sure where to head next.
- Plan an activity. If Things to Do offers a place your party will enjoy, take everyone in for part of the trip.
- Hand over if you need to. If you have to leave, use Make Party Leader so the group can carry on.
Tips for a great first vacation
- Start short. A 30-minute vacation is a relaxed first trip; try an hour or two once you know what you enjoy.
- Arrive early. Join the lounge a few minutes before departure to meet your party and test your sound.
- Bring a friend. Form a private party and send the invitation link and PIN.
- Save your questions. The travel guide answers a limited number, so agree on good ones as a group.
- Stay for the farewell. It is often the best conversation of the trip.
- Be kind. Travel Parties work best when everyone gets a turn to choose where to go.
If something goes wrong
- No sound? Check that your browser allowed the microphone and sound for Huntaz, and that the right headphones are selected.
- Lost the group? Press Rejoin Leader to return to the leader’s view.
- Cannot join a party? A private party needs its current PIN, and a full party has no space. Form another party on the same vacation instead.
- The view will not load for most of the group? Huntaz tries to reconnect for up to three minutes, and the vacation timer keeps running.
- Missed the departure? If your party has space you can still join, or catch the next departure.
Frequently asked questions
Is Huntaz Virtual Vacation free?
Yes: you can join vacations with a free Huntaz account. Some activities in the shared 3D places cost Huntaz Coins.
How long does a vacation last?
30 minutes, an hour or two hours. Each card on the vacations board shows the duration before you join.
How many people can be in a Travel Party?
Up to 10 travellers, including the Party Leader. Several parties can travel on the same vacation.
Can I leave a vacation early?
Yes. Press Leave party at any time. Before departure you can join another party freely. After departure, joining another party means no Huntaz Coins for that vacation, so if you only need a short break, stay in your party and come back.
Where do I find my memories later?
Open the vacations page and choose My Memories. Every completed vacation is there, private to you until you create a share link.
Do I need a VR headset or an app?
No. Huntaz runs in a web browser on desktop and mobile, with nothing to install.
Is Virtual Vacation the same as a treasure hunt?
No. Vacations are relaxed group trips with no chests, points or winners. Huntaz also has treasure hunts in real streets; our treasure-hunting games guide explains them.
Can children join?
Check the Huntaz terms for the minimum age to create an account. The Virtual Nightclub is for travellers aged 18 and over only.
